How to Personalize Your Phone Without Jail-Breaking It

So while browsing the web, I stumbled upon an amazing app called Cocoppa. This application allows for the user to change most iPhone icons simply by creating a redirect link. The best part of this application is that you can even create your own designs to use. The app is very user friendly.

 1) Simply find the desired application you want, such as Instagram.
2) Find a cute design. Select “Set up Link”
3) Select “App Search”
4) Type the desired app name in the search box, i.e. “Instagram”
5) A confirmation page will appear. Select “OK”
6) The application will open a window in Safari. Select the “Add to Home Screen” option.
7) Finally, enjoy your new icon!

Word of advice: Save all of the original application icons to a folder. The redirect links will not work if the original icon is uninstalled or deleted.

Some of the stock applications do not have a URL listed. Below are some of the common redirect links to use if you want to create your own icons or to add to icons you find without URLs.

Text message <3 sms://
Music <3
 music://
Photos <3
 photos-redirect://
Maps <3
 maps://
AppStore <3
http://AppStore.apple.com/Safari <3 http://google.com
iTunes <3 http://itunes.apple.com/
Mail <3 mailto://

To add the URL simply:
 1) Select the desired icon.
2) Choose “Set up link”.
3) Then select the “URL” option.
4) In the space provided, enter everything after the <3 exactly as listed above. (i.e. <3 music://) Then select “Done”.
5) On the confirmation page, name your icon, then select “OK”.
6) The application will open a window in Safari. Select the “Add to Home Screen” option.
7) Name your app, then select "Add".
8) Select "Add to Home Screen".
9) Finally, enjoy your new icon!

Broken Dresser Into Dress Up Closet

This is one of the fun projects I did for my daughter’s room. As every mom knows, dressers are bound to break especially if your kids are like mine and pile all their items into one drawer. This happened to us and as a result, we were left with a dresser with two broken drawers which eventually became useless. As a result, I made this cute dress up closet for my little girl to keep all of her dress up clothes.

How to Make a Pink Dry Erase Calendar

I usually spend months searching for the perfect calendar to hang on my wall every year. After seeing this calendar on Pinterest, I decided it was time for a more permanent solution. That’s why I created this girly calendar for my home office.

 MY FINISHED PROJECT

Supplies:

Rubber Cement

1 Roll of Wrapping Paper ($1 from the Dollar Store)
31 Paint Sample Cards (Free at any paint store, I got mine at Walmart)
1 Paper Cutter or Scissors (whichever you prefer)
1 or 2 sheets of cardstock
1 Large Plastic Poster Frame (not pictured, you will use the cardboard backing included)

1) Remove the poster frame. Roll out the wrapping paper until it is the size of the poster frame you are using, add an extra ½ inch. The frames usually have a cardboard backing that makes this process easy. Then tape the extra ½ inch to the back of the cardboard.

2) Cut your glitter card stock in strips for the month header. I cut mine into thirds, but the size is up to you. Then take the rubber cement and glue the strips onto the top part of the poster board.

3) Grab the paint samples. I chose a variety of 7 different pink colors to use for this calendar to add variety and flair. Using the scissors or the paper cutter, create a rectangle shape for each of the 31 samples.

4) Place the paint samples on the poster board in your desired pattern. Then take the rubber cement and glue each sample onto the poster board making sure to keep a straight line.

5) Place the poster board back into the frame. And voila! You have a personalized calendar.

Hopes this helps. Feel free to comment or email with any questions.
